Serie B LIVE and FREE… How to Watch Matchday 2

Sampdoria’s first home game of the season kicks off the latest Destination Calcio TV triple-header of live Serie B matches.

Juve Stabia are the visitors to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Saturday evening, before a Veneto derby between Padova and Hellas Verona the same night.

The DCTV cameras will then be in Pisa on Sunday as we broadcast three matches, live and free, during every round of fixtures.

Here’s what to expect from the second weekend of the season (all kick-off times BST).

Sampdoria vs Juve Stabia (Saturday, August 29 – 6pm)

Sampdoria will look for their first win of the campaign when they welcome Juve Stabia to what should be a packed Marassi. Despite flirting with relegation for a second consecutive season, the Blucerchiati sold more than 17,000 season tickets, a testament to their unwavering support.

The Bernardo Corradi era began steadily enough with Liam Henderson rescuing a point away at Cesena, but the former Manchester City and Lazio striker will be well aware that his team must turn draws into wins.

Over the past two seasons, Sampdoria won just 15 of their 38 games at home, a dismal record Corradi must change.

Juve Stabia, meanwhile, started the campaign with a 1-0 defeat at Palermo.

Padova vs Hellas Verona (Saturday, August 29 – 8pm)

This may be the tamest of the season’s three Veneto derbies but Padova are looking for a second big scalp on the bounce.

Having won in Pisa on the opening weekend, can Antonio Calabro’s men upset another team who dropped down from Serie A? If Verona’s performance against Ascoli is anything to go by, the answer is a definite yes.

The Scaligeri fell way short of living up to their promotion favourites tag, taking the lead through new signing Samuele Mulattieri only to concede twice after the break.

Verona can’t afford another mistake this week.

Pisa vs Catanzaro (Sunday, August 30 – 8pm)

Two of the promotion favourites ended the opening week empty-handed, with Pisa crashing at home to Padova and Catanzaro twice squandering the lead to lose 3-2 at promoted Vicenza.

It makes Sunday’s fixture at the Arena Garibaldi a delicate affair for both clubs, as a second consecutive loss would burst the balloon of optimism that surrounded the teams in the summer.

Pisa are still trying to find their feet under new manager Paolo Bianco, as are Catanzaro, who appointed Giorgio Gorgone after losing the play-off final against Monza last season.

Defeat on Sunday would put them under enormous pressure.
