Where to Watch the World Cup in Naples

By Emmet Gates

Despite the lack of Italian presence at the 2026 World Cup, the city of Naples will still be abuzz with World Cup fever.

Argentina, as ever, holds a special place in Neapolitan hearts, and the city will be rooting for Lionel Messi and Co as they attempt to retain their crown. Scott McTominay’s heroics for Napoli over the past two years means that any visitors to the city in the next month will see plenty of Scottish flags on walls, in bars and on streets, too.

There might be no Azzurri to cheer on, but Napoli fans will still get behind their players at the biggest sporting event in the world this summer.

If in Naples during the competition and you want to see some of the action after a day of sightseeing, your first port of call should be Bridge Brew Bar down by the waterfront. Located in Chiaia, the area best known as the heart and soul of Naples’ nightlife, Bridge Brew Bar is the place to be to watch the game’s best players going toe-to-toe in North America.

On Via Bisignano 15, Bridge Brew Bar will show every single game of the world Cup live on multiple screens throughout the venue, meaning you won’t miss out on a single second.

The bar is one of the go-to places in the Chiaia neighbourhood, consisting of bustling streets like Via Bisignano, Via Bausan and Vico Belledonne that hive with activity after the sun sets.

The decor inside is sleek and very modern, with glasses hanging upside down above the bar and an array of international and local beers on tap.

If you’re after something a little less refined and a little more chaotic, then A’picio Spritz in the heart of the Spanish quarter is the place for you. The bar is showing most of the games at the tournament (except the ones at unreasonable hours) on a large screen outside, with tables and chairs aplenty.

Pull up a seat, order a spritz – accompanied with nibbles – and enjoy the action as the pleasant Neapolitan evening kicks in, not far from the world famous mural of Diego Maradona.

A short walk from A’picio Spritz is Bar Viper, another cocktail bar showing games throughout June and July. Situated in the Centro Storico area of the city, Bar Viper specialises in cocktails, but they also have a wide array of beer. If you want a quiet place to relax and watch games without too much fuss in a dimly-lit environment, then this is the place for you.

Of course, if you want the feeling of being in an Irish pub abroad, then look no further than St. James’ Pub. Located in the heart of Piazza Bellini in the centre of town, it has been an institution in Naples for over two decades, welcoming visitors from around the world.

Styled to mirror traditional Irish pubs, the bar has over 100 kinds of cocktails, over 30 types of beer and, more importantly, they’re showing every game of the World Cup on multiple screens throughout the competition.

So if you happen to be of Scottish persuasion and find yourself in Naples rather than North America this summer, the city has you covered for places to watch the Tartan Army – or any game you desire – at the World Cup.
