We did the home jerseys, so it’s only fair the Serie A away kits get the same level of scrutiny.
Once again, Destination Calcio contributor Weston Pagano counts them down from 20 to the number one slot. Which clubs really raise the (fashion) stakes and which tops should be sent for an early bath?
20. Hellas Verona
This one might go down well among the lively fans who follow Verona on their travels, but if I look at it too long, this bright yellow burns my eyes.

19. Pisa
Sure, it’s inoffensive enough, but this just feels like a late noughties goalkeeper jersey. And not a very good one at that.

18. Lecce
It’s 2025, please stop putting camouflage on football kits! At least Lecce finally matched the collar and sleeve cuffs this time (not like the home top).

17. Parma
Though not as bad as their attempt two years ago (don’t worry, we won’t show it), Puma just don’t do the Gialloblu justice here. Their iconic yellow and blue bars have formed some vintage classics over the years, but this just comes off too plasticky for me.

16. Como
It’s not a bad effort from the team by the lake but it doesn’t quite live up to last season’s and the jury is out on the grey.

15. Juventus
Adidas seem to be simultaneously trying too hard and not hard enough. This complicated pattern could have become another one of those ‘so ugly it’s beautiful’ types, but the neon green shoulders are a kiss of death to those hopes.

14. Lazio
It’s almost as if they forgot to design this one.

13. Fiorentina
When viewed up close, the ghostly architecture of Firenze’s famed Duomo emanating from the club crest makes this one of the more subtly intriguing shirts. Not that you’ll notice from more than two metres away.

12. Udinese
A much lighter homage to the away kits of the 1990s, it almost looks like it could be one of the originals that has just faded over the years. It is a soothing shade of blue, if nothing else.

11. Roma
The lightning bolt may seem a little strange at first, until you remember the ancient Roman god Jupiter famously commanded lightning – oh, and the planet we named after him is orange. With cultural relevance checked and the electricity striking straight through that killer badge, we can definitely all agree this is the best orange kit of the season.

10. Cagliari
The Sardinians will take some flak for the busyness here – a complex design, two sponsors and two different ornamentations between the collar and sleeve cuffs (just pick one!) is all a bit overkill. But the scribbled fans cheering below come from a piece of work by artist and native Costantino Nivola, and this is so endearing you just have to smile.
9. Inter Milan
It has been said that the Xs you see are meant to be an artistic reimagining of snowflakes in celebration of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games being held in Milan. That’s quite cool.

8. Torino
Whether you interpret this sleeve pattern as the marbled design it is meant to be, or yet more lightning, it’s not bad either way.

7. Cremonese
It’s a downgrade from last season’s instant classic but this clean white top still made Federico Baschirotto look like a chiselled Roman statue when he flexed in it after scoring at the San Siro.

6. Bologna
This tidy, pinstriped effort is a solid shirt on its own, but I’m once again mostly ranking it so high because they are, shockingly, the first cup holders to put the Coppa Italia winner’s patch back in the middle of the chest in over two decades. Perfectly balanced.

5. Sassuolo
Having risen from the depths of Serie B, the Neroverdi really mark their return to Serie A with aplomb across their whole suite of shirts. With its suave cream deftly flanked by splashes of colour, this is a sharp kit.

4. AC Milan
For the first time in more than four decades, the devil is back! And see how happy he is? No wonder – this is a classic.

3. Genoa
What better nod to an Anglo-Italian heritage than a massive England flag on the front of your jersey? It’s also Kappa doing what Kappa does best – simple but brazen.
2. Atalanta
One more example of why putting a vintage mascot on one of your alternate kits is almost always an automatic hit – look at her go! This top has some really great colour contrasts going on, too.
1. Napoli
Big respect to Napoli for celebrating their moment in a way unique to their own with this piece of art. In a wash of subtle gold, this jersey depicts a treasure trove of Neapolitan folklore, from Pulcinella’s mask and Monaciello, to San Gennaro and the Fontana del Carciofo. It even features the Currniciello charm and some garlic, of course. Truly special.
