Another season of Italian football gets underway this weekend as the ball gets rolling across calcio’s three professional tiers.

The action kicks off on Friday night in both Serie B and Serie C, with newly-promoted Pescara hosting Cesena in the former, while Ternana’s visit to Livorno is the headline fixture across four matches in Serie C.

A day later, Napoli begin their quest for a second consecutive Scudetto when they face Sassuolo in Reggio Emilia at 5:30pm BST as Genoa host Lecce at the same time, while Roma welcome Bologna and Massimiliano Allegri’s second spell at AC Milan gets underway at the San Siro against Cremonese.

As ever, there are multiple ways to get your calcio fix this season and here is a breakdown on how to watch all the action over the next nine months.

Serie A

Serie A has yet another new home in the UK and Ireland with DAZN replacing OneFootball as the league’s main broadcaster from this season.

TNT, who scaled back its involvement last summer, will continue to show two fixtures per round, including one on Sunday night, but the bulk of the matches will be on the streaming platform.

DAZN will broadcast over 300 Serie A matches next season. Crucially, however, they will adhere to the Saturday afternoon blackout in place between  2:45pm and 5:15pm.

That means that on selected Saturdays, the early Italian game, which kicks off at 2pm in the UK, will not be available to watch in the UK and Ireland.

A monthly subscription to DAZN costs £11.99 until August 26 or £14.99 from thereon, while an annual subscription will set you back £95.99 until August 26 or £119.99 from thereon.

The cost of a monthly TNT Sports subscription varies from £20 to £39 depending on the package and on whether you are a BT broadband subscriber.

Serie A will also be shown on DAZN in the USA but in Spanish only, while every fixture will be broadcast with English commentary on CBS after the network signed a new two-year deal with the league last July.

Serie B

Serie B will once again be free to watch for viewers in the UK, Ireland and the US as well as another 50 countries. Live matches, full replays and highlights are all available on tv.destinationcalcio..com and on the app via Google Play and Apple’s App Store.

The opening match of the 2025-26 Serie B season will be the first of 124 games shown on Destination Calcio TV this season, while two of the favourites for the title will also be broadcast across the first weekend.

Pescara, back in the second tier after winning promotion through the Serie C play-offs, host Cesena under the lights at the Stadio Adriatico on Friday August 22.

The following day, Palermo’s latest bid to return to Serie A begins at home to Reggiana. The Rosanero kick off the campaign as favourites for promotion following Filippo Inzaghi’s move to Sicily after leading Pisa back to Serie A last term.

Reggiana feature again on matchday two when their home clash with Empoli kicks off the live DCTV action on Friday August 29. Spezia, losing play-off finalists in June, host Catanzaro on the Saturday, before a first look at Sampdoria on the Sunday evening when they travel north to take on Sudtirol.

Serie C

As is the case for Serie B, Serie C is also available for free to viewers in the UK, Ireland, the USA and Canada as well as several countries across the world via the FIFA+ streaming service.

The platform snapped up rights to the Italian third division back in November 2023 and the deal will continue throughout the season, with FIFA+ also broadcasting Coppa Italia Serie C, and Supercoppa Serie C fixtures.

Don’t forget, Destination Calcio will be bringing you live Serie B action during every round of the 2025-26 on DCTV.
