Italian football is experiencing a resurgence, with Serie B at the forefront as a crucible of talent and competition. Destination Calcio, the brand new Italian football media venture, has secured exclusive broadcast rights to stream Serie B matches live in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Three live games a week will be shown for free with English commentary starting with immediate effect until the end of 2026-27 season, with highlights and full replays available on their dedicated website. All services are also available on their app via Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
Serie B has long been the proving ground for Italy’s footballing elite. Notable players such as Sandro Tonali and Guglielmo Vicario began their professional journeys in this fiercely competitive league. Remarkably, when Italy’s national squad was announced for the Nations League matches last November, 11 out of the 23 players had roots in Serie B. The league continues to be a hotbed for emerging talent, with nine members of the current Under-21 squad currently honing their skills in Serie B.
Playing alongside them is a host of international talent, with USA internationals Kristoffer Lund and Andrija Novakovich, former England Under-21 midfielder Ronaldo Vieira and Scotland’s Joshua Doig all playing week in, week out.
Even on the touchline there is an abundance of big names, with former World Cup winners Filippo Inzaghi and Fabio Grosso coaching Pisa and Sassuolo respectively. There are currently just three points between the two sides as they battle for the Serie B title.
Only last year, former Spain and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas was part of the coaching setup that helped Como reach Serie A for the first time since 2003, before he took the reins as head coach at the beginning of this season.
The rise in foreign ownership emerging in the division also highlights its growth in stature, with promotion-chasing Pisa one of three clubs backed by American investment. Since the beginning of the season – according to Transfermarkt – squad values have risen 8.9 per cent on average.
Serie B is renowned for its unpredictability and fierce competition. The league’s format – which includes playoffs for promotion and relegation – adds an extra layer of excitement and jeopardy, making Serie B one of the most thrilling leagues in European football.
Fans can also look forward to comprehensive coverage of all play-off and relegation play-out matches as the season reaches its climax through Destination Calcio.
With Destination Calcio’s free streaming service, fans in the UK and US can immerse themselves in the drama and passion of Serie B. Witness the next generation of football stars and experience the matches that could define their careers.
