The Allianz Stadium is Italy’s most modern arena.

Built from the ashes of the Stadio delle Alpi and opened in 2011, the ground played a massive role in Juve’s fairly recent dominance of the Italian game.

Formerly known as the Juventus Stadium, here’s all you need to know ahead of your visit.

What Makes it Special?

Opened five years after the demolition of the Delle Alpi, the stadium is sleek, modern, and has shown the rest of the nation the way to go when it comes to how a football ground should look and feel in the 21st century.

Juve downsized to 41,500 capacity despite being the most-supported team in the country, and moved the stands closer to the pitch to ensure everyone has a better view.

How To Get There

Located in the north-west of Turin, it is a bit out of the way.

From the city centre take the metro in the direction of Lingotto and get off at Berini, then take the free shuttle bus No 9 to the stadium (matchdays only).

If at Torino Porta Nuova train station, take metro stop 18 Dicembre in the direction of Fermi. Get off at Berini and wait for shuttle bus 9. If going to the ground from Torino’s Porta Susa train station, follow the same route.

Neighbourhood Tips

The area surrounding the stadium is a little barren, however there is a shopping mall beside the ground that has all kinds of restaurants, stores and bars. The Jhotel is next to the stadium and does stay/ticket packages.
